Modernism.ro introduces g(u)ard-ian, a group exhibition curated by Cecilia Federici at Jecza Gallery Bucharest, bringing together recent works by Andrei Arion, Matei Emanuel and Ana Ionescu.

Taking the fence as its starting point, the exhibition explores the boundaries we construct and the tensions between protection and separation, belonging and exclusion. Through three distinct artistic perspectives, an everyday structure becomes a means of examining how objects designed to keep us safe can also embody fear, control and division.

The exhibition is open for visits from 26 September to 15 November 2026 at Jecza Gallery Bucharest - Scânteia+, Casa Presei Libere.
