Overview
Karina Synytsia (b. 1999, Sievierodonetsk) is a Ukrainian artist living and working in Kyiv. From 2015 to 2019 she studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kharkiv Art School with a degree in painting teaching. She is currently studying at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in her 3rd year. The main mediums she works in are painting and collage. Her practice is based on the reflection of human feelings, including loneliness and alienation.

In her works, the artist recreates these states, placing them in constructed images consisting of fragments of her own memories and the emptiness of half-ruined architectural mirages. In this way, she builds a comfortable fictional world, in which there may be emotions of a typical young man of her generation. She participated in the following projects: ART COMPENSA International Art Fair auction, Vilnius, Lithuania (2022), online exhibition "Resistance" in the Baroque Gallery App, Kyiv, Ukraine (2022), "Another Day" by ArtCompensa and KUFA, Klaipeda, Lithuania (2022), Ukrainian Days Charitable Festival, Copenhagen, Denmark, exhibition at Kafe Kafe Kyiv, Kyiv, Ukraine (2021), exhibition "Graphics-2016 in Kharkiv", House of Artists, Kharkiv, Ukraine (2016).
