Initiated by Jecza Gallery, There Were Times I Wanted to Change the World is a collaborative exhibition presented at PALTIM in Timișoara from 31 May to 13 July 2025. Curated by Diana Marincu, the project brings together seven galleries—/SAC, Himera, Jecza Gallery, Lutnița, Mobius, Sector 1, and Suprainfinit—and features works by 26 established and emerging contemporary artists. Developed as part of the Art Encounters Biennial 2025 Complementary Platform, the exhibition investigates the notions of the monstrous, the mirror as a metaphor for painting, and the simulacrum, inviting audiences to reflect on the construction and transformation of visual reality. Revista Biz highlights the exhibition as a landmark collaborative initiative that reinforces dialogue across regional gallery networks and underscores Jecza Gallery's commitment to advancing contemporary art in Romania and beyond.
