Jecza Gallery will participate in Paris Photo 2026, taking place at the Grand Palais in Paris from 12 to 15 November. Presented in the Main Sector at Booth D27, The Body in Performance brings together works by Adina Pintilie, Constantin Flondor, Dumitrița Răzlog, Ion Grigorescu, Iosif Király, Mircea Cantor and Paul Neagu.
The presentation places contemporary photographic practices in dialogue with experimental works from the 1970s and 1980s, exploring how the body enters the image through performance, intimate encounters and interventions in everyday space.
For the first time in an art fair context, Jecza Gallery will present works by Adina Pintilie. Two photographs from The Sacraments, The Anointing of Desire and The Third Body, will be shown in a new lightbox format. The works extend her investigation of intimacy and the emotional histories carried by the body, considering how a relationship develops a presence of its own.
Works by Mircea Cantor and Dumitrița Răzlog enter into conversation with historical photographs by Paul Neagu, Iosif Király, Constantin Flondor and Ion Grigorescu. Răzlog’s layering and transformation of photographic images bring domestic scenes and bodily presence into a material exploration of memory. Across the presentation, photography becomes a space in which gestures can be staged, preserved and reconsidered across generations.
