As we would have prepared our booth at Paris Photo Fair these days, showcasing vintage works by Constantin Flondor alongside new works by Pusha Petrov in a joint booth with Galerie Anne Sarah Benichou.
We are very proud to announce that Pusha Petrov’s work has been selected by Karolina Ziebinska-Lewandowska, curator of the Centre Pompidou Photography Center as part of the Ellex x Paris Photo circuit.
Karolina Ziebinska-Lewandowska selected around 40 women photographers – young, experienced, unknown, or whose careers have marked the history of photography, who are organised in five themes – luminous images, dreamt images, transformed images, militant images and testament images – the project builds imaginary bridges, highlighting the proximity between generations, sensitivities and aesthetic choices.
This year, to make up for the cancellation of the 2020 edition of Paris Photo at the Grand Palais due to health restrictions, the circuit is going digital: ellesxparisphoto.com – Read the interview with Pusha Petrov conducted by Fisheye Magazine.
#ellesxparisphoto is a project carried out at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with Paris Photo and Fisheye Magazine with the support of Women in Motion, a programme by Kering created to highlight the place of women in arts and culture.
Pusha Petrov’s work is showcased as part of “militant images” theme alongside ORLAN, Elina Brotherus, Annegret Soltau, Charlotte Abramow, Tanja Lazetic.
