Untitled brings together four photographs of a tree invaded by ivy. Traditionally considered the enemy of trees, ivy takes advantage of the trunk’s structure to feed and grow. The suffocated tree becomes a metaphor, reminiscent of some of the artist’s historical works on oppression and silencing, such as the Masks series.
