As part of the project Art History Archive series, the subREAL studio at Künstlerhaus Bethanien was covered from the wall to the ceiling with photographs of the same archive. The artists lived there, and visitors could see the everyday environment alongside the photographs. Arta (plastică) magazine mastered the public image of local art between 1953 and 1989. Because of institutional changes and lack of funding, the magazine closed in 1993. subREAL rescued the archive, storing it in their own studio.
