The usual practice of the Arta magazine’s photographers was to capture the works within large frames and then, after enlargement, to crop the object to be reproduced in the magazine. The artwork thus became a detail surrounded by a halo of events, objects, people. subREAL edited the negatives like a film, cropping out the redundant areas and enlarging the significant details.
