In just a few days, on September 12th, @viennacontemporary will open its doors, and Jecza Gallery is thrilled to be part of it.
This year, our booth, B04, will present a compelling juxtaposition of two artists: Austrian artist Anita Schmid (*1982, Gmunden) and Romanian artist Molnár Zoltán (1937, St. Gheorghe-1999).
This year, our booth, B04, will present a compelling juxtaposition of two artists: Austrian artist Anita Schmid (*1982, Gmunden) and Romanian artist Molnár Zoltán (1937, St. Gheorghe-1999).
Anita Schmid’s abstract pastel paintings embark on a mystical journey, delving into hidden dimensions of existence. Bridging the spiritual and physical realms, her work offers glimpses of the Transcendent, guiding viewers beyond the logical mind into inner landscapes. Rooted in deep meditative concentration, the creative process channels intuitive, feminine energy, drawing inspiration from nature’s beauty and female forms.
As if in response to the vibrant colours and sensuous lines that can be seen in Schmid’s artworks, Molnár Zoltán anchored his artistic pursuit in a non-figurative methodology, seeking inspiration from nature to transform elements of the tangible world into his paintings. His work resonates strongly with the rigour and geometric precision of constructivism, as he endeavoured to balance clear forms, defined rhythms, and refined colour palettes.
The dialogue between the two artists spans generations, crafting gateways that transcend where logic ceases and consciousness flourishes. Figurative, feminine elements delicately woven into soft pastel pigments on textured paper encounter geometric shapes infused with abstract natural forms, mathematics, and music, illustrating the conceptual connections within the artworks.
